Winstratos is a high speed shmup (shoot 'em up), designed for both hardcore and casual players! I'm giving special attention to the controls: I tested with inexperienced players and they did surprisingly well.
Winstratos, like many other shmups, was greatly inspired by the classics: R-Type, Gradius, RayForce and many others, so fans will feel right at home. I'm dedicating a lot of work on making the stages unique: every level has its fair share of distinctive structures and debris coming right at you, instead of the more traditional empty spaces. You can also expect a nice variety of enemies, attacking in semi-random patterns, so you'll hardly rely on memorization. Like I mentioned before, easy and simple controls are the focus, but higher difficulty levels will still require fast thinking.
I'll regularly post info and content (videos, characters, story, mechanics...) on this blog, Facebook and Twitter. Apart from music (which is being composed by my pal Thommaz Kauffmann), I'm making this game entirely alone, so any help sharing will be greatly appreciated! :)
